Sustainable Academy of Building and Engineering

We are a CPA career themed academy at Hoover High School. We have 70 students at each grade level 9th-12th (280 total) who take construction technology electives and core courses together as a cohort. Students share the same teachers and complete interdisciplinary projects related the career theme of green construction and sustainability. They participate in work-based experiences such as job shadows, field trips, and internships in the building trades at all grade levels. Students complete projects related to community issues and solve real world problems. We are a college and career readiness program.
